Franchised Food Company CEO, Stan Gordon, recently featured in Jetstar’s magazine for their destination section. In the article Stan gives away his favorite spots and things to do while visiting the Gold Coast. The magazine article was not published in English so below is a snippet from the article.
Great place for dinner:
BMD Northcliffe Surf Club offers uninterrupted beach front views and a menu that’s sure to please everyone’s tastes.
Best buy for under $50AUD:
A no brainer – ice cream for the family at Cold Rock in Broadbeach or any Cold Rock store in Surfers Paradise of course!
Survival tip for tourist: Avoid the overpriced souvenir shops- chances are you’ll get home and wonder why you spent your money on a surfboard-shaped photo frame fridge magnet with flowers on it!
Insider’s tip:
There’s so much more to the Gold Coast than Cavill Avenue! Spread your wings and explore the surrounding areas such as Gold Coast Hinterland, Mount Tamborine, South Stradbroke and Sanctuary Cover to name a few.
Most unusual thing to do:
A visit to the Yatala Drive-In for a trip down memory lane. There’s few better ways to enjoy a movie than relaxing in the comfort of your car (with BYO pillows and blankets) whilst snacking on popcorn, candy, hotdogs and a tub of Cold Rock Ice Cream – and all the time thinking you’re in a scene from Grease.
I love the Gold Coast because:
It has the vibrancy of a large city yet still maintains the relaxed beachy feel of a holiday destination so you can choose which element to enjoy depending on your mood.
